SBS drama “Jang Ok Jung, Lives in Love” cast members having a farewell party was revealed.

Ji Yoo, who came out as Ja Kyung in the drama, posted on her Twitter yesterday, “Farewell party of Jang Ok Jung, Lives in Love. All staff and cast members, you did a great job making a great drama even while getting no sleep. I will be meeting you all through other works. Thank you for your love for this drama” along with pictures.

In the pictures, the cast members including Kim Tae Hee, Yoo Ah In, Lee Sang Yup, and others are posing for the camera. The cast members in regular clothing and not hanbok (Korean traditional clothing) also caught much attention.

Internet users who saw this commented, “You all did a great job,” “It’s good to see everyone in such a happy setting,” and “My mind is still not out of the Jang Ok Jung mode yet.”

Se7en reported to have applied as a celebrity soldier from the very beginning

Lately in South Korea, all eyes have been on the celebrity recruits and related issues of the military. Although it might not feel like such a significant issue for those unfamiliar with Korea and its mandatory military service, it is one that hits home for pretty much every citizen there as they all have family members that have served, will serve, or are currently serving as a soldier. So it comes as no surprise that more information is being dug up everyday and being reported in the media.

The latest piece of news that has sparked attention is whether Se7en applied to be a celebrity recruit from the very beginning, or whether he was transferred to that department after deciding to go in as a regular recruit. 

Although it was said back when the singer was enlisting that he would serve as a rifleman, aka a regular soldier with no celebrity privileges, his agency YG Entertainment later remarked that there is a high possibility that Se7en's position may be changed since the military had been showing interest in bringing him on board the promotional department for the military. Soon after his basic training, a statement was released revealing that Se7en's position had been changed. 

However, it is now being reported that his position wasn't really 'changed' as Se7en had applied to be a celebrity recruit from the very beginning.

In a phone call with Ajoo Economy, a rep from the Ministry of Defense said, "Even before he started his 4-week basic training, he applied to be a celebrity soldier. He was being reviewed while he was undergoing his basic training and was approved and confirmed as a celebrity soldier," revealing that Se7en had become a celebrity soldier as soon as his basic training ended.

This piece of information is being met with more disappointment from the public, since at first, they had believed that Se7en had been switched from a regular recruit to a celebrity recruit only because of the military's decision, only to now learn that the singer himself had applied from the very beginning to become a celebrity recruit.

Haha Shows Off Eight Month Pregnant Wife Byul

Singer and TV personality Haha and pregnant wife Byul had a small photo session.

On June 26, SBS’ “Midnight TV Entertainment” aired a segment where a reporter was able to catch Haha for a small interview. When he was asked about the photoshoot, Haha replied, “It’s not for a magazine spread, but heard that 35 weeks is the most beautiful and wanted to take photos so we can give it to Dream (nickname given while in the womb) as a present.”

Several of the said pictures were shown. In one picture, Haha is seen holding Byul’s belly lovingly and another picture shows him and wife having fun with the unborn child. In the last picture, Byul holds up one of Dream’s future outfits matching Haha’s pants. In front, there are three matching shoes creating a picture of a happy family.

During the segment, Haha left a message to his wife. “It’s less than a month til the due date. Thank you for giving me this miracle-like happiness. I’ll do my best to become a great dad. I’ll do my best for you too.”

Haha and Byul were married on November 30, which was a mega star-studded event.

CNBLUE Jung Yong Hwa Makes an All-Kill on Japan Ringtone Chart with Drama OST

Group CNBLUE leader Jung Yong Hwa's drama OST songs have been ranked number 1 on the Japan Ringtone chart.

Both songs are a part of the drama, "You've Fallen for Me," in which he played the lead male role. Both of his songs ranked number 1 on the Japan ringtone charts.

He played the role of "Lee Shin" in the drama and the song, "Longing" was a song that he had written for his dad in the drama. This song was also actually written by Jung Yong Hwa himself.

This drama was popular last summer and aired in Japan from July to November 2012. This drama has still not died down in Japan as the OST songs are still popular 7 months after the show has ended.

This song also ranked number 1 this past March on the K-Pop OST category as well as the DVD category.

On the other hand, CNBLUE is currently on their '2013 World Tour-BLUE MOON' and will be performing in Beijing on June 29.

INFINITE's Sunggyu apologizes for his statement about women in their 30s

INFINITE's Sunggyu has apologized for his statement about women in their 30s.

He tweeted, "Hello. This is Sunggyu. The situation is not a controversy or misunderstanding. It's completely my fault. I sincerely apologize to anyone who has been disappointed or hurt by my careless words. I'll reflect [on my words] with a humble heart, realize [what I've done], and be more respectful towards people."

The apology came about after a behind-the-scenes clip of 'Genius: Rules of the Game' was released. During a conversation with Park Eun Ji and Lee Sang Min, Sunggyu made a comment about women becoming 'yomul' after she reaches the age of 30. 'Yomul' is a term that means deceitful, sly, or wicked, and when it's aimed towards women, it's a term that describes a woman who is good at luring in men for her benefit.

F.T. Island's Seunghyun cast in lead role for 'The Three Musketeers' musical in Japan

F.T. Island's Seunghyun has been cast as one of the leads for the musical 'The Three Musketeers' in Japan. 

Seunghyun has previous experience as Daniel in 'Jack the Ripper', and he'll be taking up the role of the musketeer d'Artagnan in Tokyo.

On top of performing in his own country, he'll be in Japan on August 19-22 as well. All seats for September and October have already sold out.

MBC’s new drama “Goddess of Fire, Jung-yi” (hereafter “Goddess of Fire”) held a press conference with its cast dressed in their period drama roles and ready to inaugurate the drama for its premiere next week.

“Goddess of Fire” stars Moon Geun Young,Lee Sang Yoon, Kim Bum, and Lee Kwang Soo among its cast. Moon Geun Young plays the titular role of Yoo Jung, Joseon dynasty’s greatest and first female ceramic artist. The drama follows her life and her love story with Crown Prince Gwang Hae, played by Lee Sang Yoon.

Are Roy Kim and Park Soo Jin dating? Roy Kim′s agency is checking on it

 Male singer Roy Kim and actress Park Soo Jin have been reported to be dating, and Kim’s agency is currently checking with the star himself about this. On June 27, a rep from Kim′s agency, CJ E&M, told Star News, “We are checking with Roy Kim on whether he and Park Soo Jin are dating. We haven′t heard anything from him about the rumors” The pair first met back in February when Park Soo Jin appeared on Roy Kim and Jung Joon Young‘s radio program as a guest.

A media outlet has reported that the two stars have been dating for four months. They first met back in February, when Park Soo Jin was on the same MBC radio program that Roy Kim was temporarily hosting.

Kim was the winner of Mnet’s Superstar K Season 4, and  released his first album, entitled Love Love Love, on the 25th. It has already grabbed the top spot on major music charts.

In the meantime, Park Soo Jin has been cast in the KBS2 drama series Sword and Flower, the first episode of which is scheduled to air on July 3.

Kim Soo Hyun considers accepting a lead role in a new drama series

 Actor Kim Soo Hyun seems to be coming back to TV drama. According to an announcement by his agency, Key East, today, Kim Soo Hyun has been suggested for a lead role in the new SBS drama series A Man From A Star (working title) and is considering it.

An agency official says, “Kim has recently received synopses of several drama series. A Man From A Star is among them.”

The drama is a romantic comedy about an alien who comes to Korea during the Joseon Dynasty 400 years ago. He shifts to modern times and falls in love with an actress. It will be written by Park Ji Eun, who wrote the drama My Husband Got A Family, and will be produced by Jang Tae Yoo.

The lead role, Do Min Joon, who has a fascinating appearance and wonderful abilities, comes to Joseon by UFO, has lived for four centuries by changing his identity, and falls in love with an actress named Chun Song E.

The series will start airing in December on SBS.
