Kim Tae Hee Opens Up About Her Relationship With Rain

Since news broke last January that Korean superstar Rain has been dating actress Kim Tae Hee, she has been in the spotlight for more than just her talent and beauty. Kim Tae Hee is the object of envy for thousands of Rain fans around the world.

Even thought the R&B pop singer is currently enlisted in his mandatory military service, the couple manages to find time together and allow their relationship to grow naturally.

In a recent media interview with Sports Seoul, Kim Tae Hee discussed her romance with Rain and offered up some of her relationship philosophies.

"I think you can never know someone without experiencing," she said. "I usually do not believe in reputations that other people say, and I always try hard to get rid of bias."

When asked about her future marriage plans, the popular actress admitted she personally has not given any thought to the subject yet, but did express what she thinks is crucial for a successful relationship.

"Trying to upgrade one's life by getting married to a rich guy is not a good idea," she advised. "The key point of marriage is keeping and building your love with your partner until the very end."

And what about that famous stud of a boyfriend? "He's doing well," Kim Tae Hee said.

Meanwhile, Rain is still fulfilling his active military duty and will finish his service next month.

Haze: Muar more 'disappeared' (malaysia)

Muar: Haze worst ever hit this area when the Air Pollution Index (API) recorded the highest reading reached 519 at 8 o'clock last night.

They will also inform the fire brigade to extinguish fire, as well as spraying water on the main street and the building, "he said.

Abdul Rahman said the Land Office will direct the quarries and mines to limit activities to reduce the effects of haze, while the police will be on patrol to monitor open burning.

He said the District Education Office will provide advice to reduce activities outside of the classroom when the school opened, as well as identifying schools that have supplied to cover the nose and mouth.


IPU increase in Sabah, Labuan

Kota Kinabalu: The haze in Sabah and Labuan worse when the Air Pollutant Index (API) in some areas almost reached unhealthy levels.

Fans Urge SHINee, EXO, f(x), BoA To Withdraw From Hong Kong Concert

An online movement has started in Hong Kong to convince some popular K-Pop artists to withdraw from a scheduled July 1 concert.

K-Pop fans in Hong Kong are banding together online in protest of the Hong Kong Dome Festival. They have been pleading with acts like SHINee, f(x), BoA, and EXO via their official Facebook pages to pull out of the concert.

Why would fans ask the Korean idols to stay away?

It seems that July 1 is also the day of the annual pro-democracy protest in Hong Kong. In an effort to keep many of the younger generation from joining the rally, the government organized the music festival.

Thousands of fans have been leaving messages and comments on Facebook urging the Korean pop stars to refrain from appearing at the concert.

The posts are articulate and well thought out and express the concern the people in Hong Kong have about their government.

Some of the posts talk about the government's plan to divert attention away from the democratic event, while others urge the performers to consider that they are living in a democracy while the people of Hong Kong are not.

And more than just the words of the fans, the government's devious plot is also evidenced by the ticket prices for the Hong Kong Dome Festival are a mere tenth of the price that an average concert ticket would cost, selling for about $12 USD.

Hong Kong rock band Rubber Band is reportedly reconsidering their participation in the event due to the request of fans.

The Hong Kong Dome Festival is set to take place at the Kai Tak Development Site on July 1.

At old coal mine, a new place for art

The marshalling yard of the former Samcheok Mine has become Samtan Art Mine’s “Rail by Museum”, which includes artwork made from iron structures, steel ropes and conveyors.

Samcheok Mine in Gangwon province, which contributed to Korea’s industrialization from its opening in 1962 until its closure in 2001, has been reborn as a space for art and culture. Renamed Samtan Art Mine, it has become a place of artistic inspiration and creativity, with the vestiges of the old coal mine remaining and emotional artworks added.

Samtan Art Mine is located in a mountainous area at an elevation of 832 meters (2,729 feet) in Jeongseon County, Gangwon. Once it was a huge coal mine, employing about 3,000 miners and forming a wealthy town nearby. But as the mine closed, 80 percent of the residents left. Now, it’s hoped that the mine will attract people again, as a center of art and culture this time.

In Samtan Art Mine, the abandoned shafts have become art galleries, with other facilities such as electrical rooms turned into spaces for the exhibition of artifacts and contemporary artwork. Some of the old spaces have become an outdoor theater, restaurants and other facilities for art and entertainment, making the old mine an art theme park.

The marshalling yard, which was one of the most important facilities of the old Samcheok Mine, can be an artwork itself from the industrial era.

In the mine’s landmark “Rail by Museum”, there are coal wagons that look as if they are ready to run again, iron structures, steel ropes in the vertical shafts and conveyors that make a great art piece to impress viewers.

The main building of the old mine had a shower room, where the miners washed fatigue and black coal dust from their bodies every day. Now, hundreds of X-rays, diagnoses of pneumoconiosis (lung disease) and death certificates of the miners hang from about 30 shower heads in the room, which has been turned into a space to honor the miners who lost their health and their lives to hard labor.

On the second floor of the main building are piles of the mine’s documents, including the miners’ resumes, pay stubs and other items. These documents have become “cultural heritage” and a kind of installation art.

The mine galleries have been reborn as unique spaces where the visitors can view artwork and, at the same time, experience the artificial caves of the mine galleries.

Samtan Art Mine also has a big art storage house, where the chief executive of the art company, Kim Min-seok, stores and will show about 100,000 pieces of folk art and contemporary artwork he has collected for three decades from all over the world.

It's Official...2NE1 is now on Instagram

Just in time for their impending comeback, the ladies of 2NE1 have decided to open a group Instagram account (2NE1XXI). 

Last night, while the girls were in Singapore for the Asia Style Collection, Darateased fans commenting on her Twitter of a rumored creation of "2Nstagram".

Sure enough Blackjacks quickly found the account with the above photo posted and the caption, "OPEN!! Where r all our blackjacks at!!! <Bom put the sticker herself>".

Since CL and Bom have had Instagram accounts for a while now, and after some gentle prodding from Jay Park, Minzy had also opened her own personal Instagram account, many fans were expecting Dara to also open an account. Instead they got a bigger surprise when the girls opened a joint account.

Aside from preparing for their July comeback, CL will be performing a remix version of her solo single, "The Baddest Female" on tonight's SBS Inkigayo.
