20 Internet Entrepreneurs loss RM1j(malaysia)




KUALA LUMPUR: More than 20 entrepreneurs who do business via the Internet, believed to losses of more than RM1 million since the middle of last year because deceived by a woman who claims to be able to provide mobile phones of various brands at bargain prices.

The modus operandi of a 32 year-old woman known as Linda, is targeting those who do business via the internet. Victim is said to earn greater profits if taking stock of mobile phones.
Victims of phone book should include a sum of money to the account of the woman and promised the goods would be delivered two months later. Most of the victims losses of between RM50, 000 to RM100, 000.

Some victims who work as civil servants cheated because initially, they received orders to lead eager to get in more volume.

Claimed damages of RM80, 000

The victim, Mohamad Suhaili Tawhid, 31, who works as the Assistant Officer in Islamic Da'wah Foundation Malaysia (YADIM), claimed losses over RM80, 000 by the woman cheated.

He who conduct business via the Internet since 2008, selling a variety of goods before recognizing Linda middle of last year.
"I deal since July last year and put money of RM20, 000 in stages when the response from customers has been encouraging. At first, the well-sourced goods as promised which makes me believe him.

"However, as put money over RM80, 000 for the purchase of more than 50 mobile phones of various brands, he started to behave strangely and giving the excuse when promised goods fail to be obtained," he told reporters, here, today.

After realizing cheated, Suhaili make a report at the district police headquarters (IPD) Dang Wangi and until now he made three police reports, the latest one today.

Almost stumbled

"I almost fell in the business of having to pay back RM80, 000 to the customer. At that time, I was in the hospital for childbirth and imagine I approached the customer while at the hospital curse while I also victims, "he said.

Another victim, Azro Mohd Arifin, 31, a loss of RM40, 000, said that all efforts are made to get back the money but failed.
