Rising Starz: ‘Ayo What’s Good?’ – 10 Questions for LC9 [Exclusive Interview]

Rising Starz, LC9
LC9 emerged into the K-pop scene in early May with their powerful C-walk,strong beats and a rated-19 music video full of awesome fighting scenes for MaMaBeat. Armed with lots of charisma, they are set to brave the competition in thetough music industry, that fits with their name which means League ofCompetition #9. In an interview with KpopStarz, RASA, E.DEN, JHYO, JUN, KING andAO talked about their debut, C-walk moves in MaMa Beat and role models.

#1. What was most exciting about your debut performance?
RASA: We trained for a long time for that moment toshow what we can do. The anticipation thinking about being able to puteverything on stage at last was the most exciting.

#2. What was the most difficult part about MaMa Beat’schoreography?
AO: C-walk moves are heavy on footwork so they woreus down a lot during practice.

#3. When did you decide to pursue becoming an idol artist?
RASA: Initially, I was into ballads and slow, soulful type of music and wanted to perform that kind of genre. But as I learnedhow to dance during trainee years at my company, I began to see myself as anidol artist.
JUN: I have always had a lot of respect and lovefor idol artists. SHINee, in particular, inspired me to become an idol artist.

#4. Are there any talents you guys have not been able to show yourfans yet?
KING: We haven’t made any appearances at varietyshows yet, so our funny talents like impersonations and such have not seen thelight of day.
JUN: We are very athletic so we wouldlike to go on sports competition shows like ‘Dream Team’ or ‘Idol Olympics’ andtake the trophy home.

#5. Which member is the most different on and off the stage?
JHYO: It’s Eden. He is full of charisma n stage buthe is a jokester and just a funny guy in general everywhere else.

#6. Who are some of the people you have met that inspired you? Like arole model? Who would you like to meet?
EDEN: We got to meet the members of Shinhwarecently when they took first place at a music show. We felt their charisma andthe kind of presence that probably only comes from being 15-year veterans. I gotgoose bumps hearing their loyal fans chant their name after all these years.
RASA: Personally, I really like Chris Brown. If weget a chance to perform in the United States, I hope to see his live performanceand perhaps meet him.

#7. If you could travel around the world doing concerts, where wouldyou want to go?
AO: I would be happy anywhere but especially theUnited States, the biggest music market. I hope that we can make it out there, eventually.

#8. What is one thing you cannot leave home without?
RASA: Definitely my cell phone. In this day andage, artists have to utilize SNS as an advertising platform, constantly listento music and watch performances to learn a thing or two. So, without a cellphone, it is very tough.

#9. Describe your perfect day.
JHYO: Just a restful day is perfect for me. Sleepin, grab a good lunch, watch a movie and grub on some chicken by the Han riverin the evening.
RASA: I would love to travel overseas. Especially,I would like to try Scuba diving in an emerald shimmering sea.

#10. If you could have a supernatural power, what would it be andwhy?
EDEN: I want to be Superman because he lives anormal life and busts out his heroic abilities only when needed. So he gets thebest of both worlds.
RASA: I would like to become invisible. It will befun pulling pranks on unsuspecting people.

With a successful debut in the middle of ‘May’hem, LC9 sure has a lot instore.  As they made the most of their 10 questions to reveal to us their candidselves, it’s hard not to love them.
