Marrying the Jealous Type – We Got Married 062913

On this episode of “We Got Married,” Jo Jung Chi and Jung In take charge, Go Joon Hee and Jinwoon decide to have fun with the younger couple, and Taemin and Son Na Euncompete to make the other one jealous. 

Marrying the jealous type 

Last week all the couples came together for the first time and, as custom, they presented gifts to each other. Jinwoon and Go Joon Hee take their turn to give their gifts to the other couples. Jo Jung Chi and Jung In get some interesting yet practical gifts such as a back scratcher and a head massager that causes an interesting reaction. Jo Jung Chi turns into Hannibal Lecter with a weird face mask that makes your face smaller. How does that work? For the younger couples, they recieve some funny masks, which somehow suits the two perfectly. Maybe now the two can walk around Myeongdong without being harassed by crowds.

The couples receive a mission card ordering them to do some gardening and prepare food. It would be boring if they just split by gender, so the older ladies take Taemin while the men take Son Na Eun. Taemin doesn’t look too happy being separated from his wife, and to make it worse, he is more awkward than usual. He even confesses that he’s not close with the Girls’ Generation members like the others because he prefers male company. Throw the noonas a bone, will you? Poor Joon Hee finally gets to interact with SHINee, but she keeps getting rejected. At least Taemin is loyal to his wife? Jung In isn’t as interested, she is too distracted trying out some new well-being recipes like pineapple pancakes. 

Quiet and shy Son Na Eun opens up to the older guys as they garden together. She even asks Jo Jung Chi what the secret to a long lasting relationship is (Answer: Communication). When she bashfully says her dream is to be in an everlasting love, the two men burst out laughing. Let her be, we were all there once. The three get pretty chummy with one another, even sneaking off to chow down on some ramen when they hear they are going to have to eat beans and lettuce. Actually, the three of them look like a new sitcom. 

Synopsis* of “My Two Oppas”: Son Na Eun plays a bright and imaginative school girl who is raised by her two older brothers after her parents die in a tragic boating accident. Jo Jung Chi is the hippie eldest brother who believes in living organically, even if it means growing his own food. Jinwoon plays the flighty middle son who thinks his smile can charm over any woman and get him into her purse. Son Na Eun wonders who is taking care of who, as her bachelor older brothers struggle to fit her into their busy lives.

Taemin is constantly looking out at the garden to watch Na Eun and when he can’t take it anymore, Joon Hee tags along to check on their other halves. Jinwoon and Na Eun welcome their partners happily, but then quickly notice how the other two walk away closely together. They are not having any of that, so they decide to visit the kitchen and just casually show how close they have gotten. It works perfectly, and while Joon Hee is quick to play it cool, Taemin can’t hide the jealousy in his face. The two couples, TaeHee and JinEun, banter nonchalantly to make the other jealous. Come on guys, there’s no real winner in games like these.

As the younger couples have a silent battle, Jo Jung Chi and Jung In are left to do the work. Jung In is oblivious to it all, even when its happening right next to her, because she really wants to try these new recipes she found in a blog. Jo Jung Chi on the other hand, is the secret puppet master behind it all. He is the one that “innocently” remarks that Taemin and Joon Hee look good together which started the banter in the first place. Manipulating younger couples looks fun! 

After enjoying their healthy dinner, the couples receive another mission. This time, the couples will be competing against each other to be in the main pictorial of a magazine. Jinwoon and Joon Hee have already done a couple photo shoot before, so they are pretty confident. They should be careful, there’s no mistaking the fire of competition in everyone else’s eyes. Each couple will have a different theme for their photo shoots. Either way, I’m really looking forward to all of them!

Taemin and Na Eun have been married for two months and already they have intensified their game of “push and pull.” In one of the earlier episodes, Son Na Eun said she hated the game but she is turning into quite the pro. It is cute to see Taemin get all fired up when Na Eun mentions she was kissed on the cheek, or the way Na Eun innocently falls into Taemin’s coy traps, but how healthy can this be for the new couple? If they are getting so worked up about an old photo shoot, what are they going to do if one of them has a kiss scene in a drama? They might even blow up. Young love, sure is turbulent.

Chaos Over Song Hye Gyo’s Arrival in Hong Kong Causes Escalator Malfunction

Actress Song Hye Gyo recently traveled to Hong Kong in order to promote her drama “That Winter, The Wind Blows.” Due to her immense popularity abroad, she was overwhelmed by the crowds of fans while riding on the escalator, causing the machine to break down. 

Chinese news sites reported that luckily, no one was hurt and that the news of the escalator’s cause for malfunction had surprised everyone. 

While riding the escalator to the parking lot, Song Hye Gyo and the sheer weight of people who piled on with her caused the escalator to malfunction. 

Netizens who saw the photos commented, “Wow, you can see the shock on her face after seeing the escalator break down” and “At least she was safe.”

Moon Geun Young Picks Lee Kwang Soo as Her Ideal Type

Actress Moon Geun Young recently selected Lee Kwang Soo as her ideal type. 

On June 30, Moon Geun Young was asked on MBC‘s “Section TV: Entertainment Talk” to pick her ideal type among actors Park Gun Hyung, Lee Sang Yoon andKim Bum. 

When asked to explain the reason she had chosen Lee Kwang Soo, she replied cheerfully, “Well, he is the tallest one in the group. Plus, he is an attentive and considerate person. He’s the type of guy who will always look out for you.” 

Kim Bum, who had been listening all along, teased Lee Kwang Soo, “Hey, you still have people thinking that about you?” causing Lee Kwang Soo to blush in embarrassment.

Netizens who saw the interview commented, “That’s interesting. Moon Geun Young picked Lee Kwang Soo as her ideal type?” and “I guess she’s fallen for Lee Kwang Soo’s undeniable charisma!”

Girls' Generation-Super Junior, Picture With President Park Geun Hye?

Groups Girls' Generation and Super Junior had the opportunity to take a picture with the Korean President Park Geun Hye.

Yesterday, Girls' Generation and Super Junior attended the KBS "Korea-China Friendship Concert" held in China and performed.

It has been revealed that after their performances were finished, Super Junior and Girls' Generation had the honorable experience of sitting down with president Park Geun Hye and talking with her, proved through a group picture.

Actor Lee Min Ho In Malaysia: 'I Want To Communicate With Fans Through 'My Everything'

He was the Goo Joon Pyo, the heir of the Shinhwa Group Empire in Boy's Over Flower. A suave and gentleman architect, Jeon Jin-ho in Personal Taste. He later assumed a double life of an MIT graduate with a doctorate degree and codename 'City Hunter', Lee Yoon Sung in City Hunter before transforming himself as the brave captain of the Woodalchi warriors, General Choi Young in Faith. However, on the afternoon of 28^th June 2013, he is the man himself, Lee Min Ho. This Korean heartthrob is back in Malaysia, not to promote his new drama but for his Global Fan Meeting Tour bringing 'My Everything' his debut album, together with him.

A press conference was held at Vivatel Hotel, Kuala Lumpur where Lee Min Ho greeted the local media before gracing his showcase and meet-and-greet session at Kenanga Wholesale City Mall on 29^th June 2013 at 7.00pm. He greeted the medias with wide smile clearly drawn on his face. Unlike the strong personality in each of his drama characters, he was quite a shy man and humble off the camera.

As the album 'My Everything' was a special treat and gift to his fans, he gave his everything in preparing this album. He wants to deliver a different image of him and injected a 'happy various' mood upon presenting the album to his fans and the listeners. This album also was another way of him communicating and expressed his love to his fans. Let's take a look at what's in stored for the press in regards to his debut album together with his on-going journey as an actor in the excerpts of the interview below:

Q1: Is this your first time visiting Malaysia?

A: Actually, this is my second visit to Malaysia. I first came in 2009 as the ambassador for this Korean beauty product in conjunction of their product launching.

Q2: Hopefully you don't mind if I asked the next question, how did you managed to reach the height that you are now (you're so tall indeed)?

A: [Laugh] Thank you for the compliment, but all the members in my family is actually quite tall. I guess the genes run through the blood.

Q3: You're here for your album 'My Everything' promotion, can you tell us more about the album?

A: This is indeed my very first official album and in celebration of it, I want to dedicate the songs in the album to all my fans, and that's the reason I came here to Malaysia to have this special fan meeting, which is going to be held tomorrow...everything is for my fans.

Q4: Is there any special message from the album since it is entitled 'My Everything'

A: I want to communicate with the fans through this album, hence there are various moods were put in it. You will get to listen to ballads for a more emotional feeling and dance-pop songs for a happier mood.

Q5: You're known through the series of dramas you acted in such as Boys Over Flower, City Hunter, and the latest Faith, and this is the first time you're contributing your voice. Can you describe how do you feel about it?

A: It was a new dimension for me and from this experience; I have learned the difficulties and how hard other artists (singers) have gone through and the efforts that they have put into singing. I can say it's a new self-discovery too for me, as I'm exploring the new side of myself too.

Q6: Is there any specific problem or obstacles that you faced when you practiced your singing?

A: I never managed to sing fast songs and I realized to sing this kind of fast beat song is quite a challenge.

Q7: Will you dance for tomorrow? (showcase)

A: For tomorrow's showcase, I'll perform a little bit of dancing through my songs.

Q8: We were informed that you would appear in a new drama entitled 'The Heirs'. Can you tell us more about this drama?

A: It's a teenage romance drama surrounded in a high school, and the focus will be the love story of the main characters.

Q9: Do you actually consider extending your career to singing since you can sing so well?

A: I never actually debuted as a singer but I'll continue singing to my fans and continue making new songs. However, since I'm not a singer to begin with, I never thought of becoming a singer as my profession.

Q10: Do you prefer acting in a drama or singing?

A: Because I'm an actor to begin with and once you are acting in a drama, you have to spend a lot of time into developing and live up the character, thus my focus is more into acting in the drama.

Q11: Would you ever think or try to get a role as a host or MC of any program?

A: At the moment, I haven't practically thought about becoming a host or MC yet, maybe when I have a more free time, I will sit and have a thought about it.

 Q12: Any artist you wish to work with in the future?

A: Recently, I was paired with Park Shin Hye in a drama and my priority is to wrap up the shooting of the drama. I'll think about collaborating with other artists once the filming is done.

Q13: Even though you have a hectic schedule, you manage to look good and healthy. Is there any secret to have such a healthy

image or would you shared some tips with us?

A: There is no secret to it, but I tend to wash my face early and most importantly to have an enough hours of sleeping (sleep at the right time and wake up at the right time)

 Q14: You've visited Malaysia before. Was there any specific Malaysian cuisine that you have tried and places you've been to that you want to share with us?

A: I really want to visit the Twin Towers. On my last visit, my schedule was rather packed thus I don't have much time to go anywhere. However, this time around I won't miss the opportunity to try all the delicious Malaysian delicacies.

Q15: In your opinion, were there any differences between Malaysian culture and Korean culture? If there were any, what would it be?

A: I've travelled to so many countries around Asia and I felt that there isn't any much difference between one country and another. The taste of the people's in those countries is almost the same. After all, we're human race.

Q16: Is there any special similarities between the Asian countries that you have visited?

A: In my opinion, when you are in a happy mood while travelling, there's no need to compare the country with others. Each is special and unique in their own ways. 

 Q17: For tomorrow showcase, is there anything to expect from the Malaysia fans?

A: Rather than expecting anything from the fans, since this is my very first performance in front of Malaysian fans, I just want everyone to enjoy the show and be satisfied with my performance. I wish all of us could enjoy our time together tomorrow.

 Q18: Is there anything you would like to say to the press/fans?

A: First of all, I would like thank everyone who came to see me today and for tomorrow at the showcase, I'll try my very best to make the most of it and I hope the fans will have a happy time there and if you do come tomorrow, I'll try to make the best of it.

No Min Woo aka Icon Wants to Be a "Rock Star" in New Music Video

Actor No Min Woo has gone back to his music roots and released the music video for “Rock Star” through the official CJ E&M YouTube channel as singer Icon.

No Min Woo originally debuted in SM Entertainment‘s rock band, TRAX, as Rose the drummer. After leaving the group in 2006, he changed back to his full name to pursue an acting carrer. He starred in the drama “Full House Take 2” with Park Ki Woong and Hwang Jung Eum. He has come back to the music scene and created the band Icon with drummer Monster and DJ Disco.

“Rock Star” is from the single album “Iconic Oh! Disco ‘Rock Star’.” No Min Woo was actively involved in the production playing  producer, vocalist, drummer, guitarist, bassist, composer, lyricist, and arranger.

Kim Soo-hyeon-I, Park Ki-woong and Lee Hyun-woo from “Secretly and Greatly”

Main actors of the movie “Secretly and Greatly” Kim Soo-hyeon-I, Park Ki-woongand Lee Hyun-woo were revealed on site.

The still cuts of the set show Kim Soo-hyeon-I smiling brightly in front of a cake. Kim Soo-hyeon-I shot the highlight of the movie for ten days, wearing nothing but a shirt on a rainy day. He smiled brightly at the surprise birthday cake the staff had prepared for him and even pariticpated as a staff member as well.

Park Ki-woong added to the happy atmosphere with his cheerfulness.

Lee Hyun-woo became the sweet and lovable youngest member of the cast behind camera and a tough guy in front of it.

“Secretly and Greatly” was released on the 5th of June and broke through 6 million audiences.
