Roy Kim – Leaving Korea for Good?

Roy Kim – Leaving Korea for Good?
Roy Kim, who is returning to America on August 25, still hasn't decided on an agency.
On August 12, Roy Kim's rep said, 'Roy Kim will leave for America before he chooses an agency. He sees this as a serious decision and wants to carefully think it over before making a final verdict.
MNet 'Superstar K4' winner Roy Kim has been under CJ E&M Music Division management. As a company that manages 'Superstar K' live contestants, CJ E&M allows finalists to freely hold meetings with music agencies until they can decide on their career.

Roy Kim will be returning to America to continue his study on August 25. The ongoing radio show MBC's 'Roy Kim, Jung Joon Young's Best Friend' will come to an end on August 18.
Roy Kim's plan was to enroll in Georgetown University last September, but he took a year of absence to star in 'Superstar K4' as a singer. He requested an additional leave of absence, but Georgetown University denied his request, so he will be attending school in September as a college student.
Roy Kim released a statement through CJ E&M, saying, 'Along with my new college life, I will also study music diligently, and hope to become a more mature person. More than anything I want to say thank you to my fans.' He also expressed that in the meantime, he will not only pursue academics in school, but he will continue to make music as an artist.

Lee Min Jung’s Luxurious Wedding Dress Cost HOW MUCH?!
Lee Min Jung wore the same brand name as Jessica Alba and Anne Hathaway... and spent a pretty penny on it.
MBC 'Feel Good Day' revealed the secrets of Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung's wedding on its August 12 episode.
Lee Min Jung tied the knot with world-renown actor Lee Byung Hun on August 10 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Seoul, and wore a total of three wedding dresses.

Lee Min Jung wore a different dress for the press conference preceding the wedding, parts one and two of the wedding, and the official ceremony, totaling three dresses. For the official ceremony she wore a beautiful and full Marchesa. Marchesa is a popular brand that was launched in New York in 2005, and has since then been worn by Jessica Alba, Anne Hathaway, and four other actresses attending the Academy Awards. The dress costs about 50 million Won (about 45,000 US Dollars). The brands of the other two dresses have not been revealed, most likely because it may be seen as an advertisement for the brands.
After the wedding, Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung spent time with their guests, and left for the honeymoon on August 12 to Maldives. When they return from their honeymoon, Lee Byung Hun will be busy filming 'Female Warrior: Memories of the Sword,' and Lee Min Jung will pick her next project to work on.
Upon finding out the high price tag of Lee Min Jung's wedding dress, netizens have commented, 'If just one of Lee Min Jung's wedding dress cost 50 million won, what about the rest?' 'Of course Lee Min Jung's wedding dress would be a brand that Hollywood stars love,' 'Lee Min Jung's wedding dress is very full,' and 'Her dress has a very beautiful shape.'

K-Pop Mixtape: Bad Rep, Good Music

Se7en, Mighty Mouth, Ivy, MC Mong, T-Ara, B2ST, Block B, Jay Park, Seungri, Roy Kim
K-Pop Mixtape: Bad Rep, Good Music Despite Ivy's bad rep, she is still very successful
A lot of K-Pop fans are so devoted that even when scandals arise, they continue with undying loved for their beloved idols.
Whether an artist gets a bad reputation from a scandal or their personality, it seems to do little in keeping them back from making more great music. And sometimes the bad rep even helps them become more popular and famous!
Here is a collection of songs from artists who have not always been seen in the best light, but who continued on regardless – and we are happy they did!

Se7en – “Better Together” (2010) Digital Bounce
Bad Rep: Recent massage parlor scandal resulted in the abolishment of the military PR unit
Mighty Mouth (feat. Soya) – “Bad Boy” (2012) Bad Boy
Bad Rep: Member Sangchu was also involved in the military scandal with Se7en
Ivy – “Sonata of Temptation” (2007) Vol. 2 – A Sweet Moment
Bad Rep: Music video plagiarism, sex tape scandal, suspicion that she is Wheesung’s cheating ex-girlfriend, and all around sassy attitude
MC Mong – “Circus” (2008) Show’s Just Begun
Bad Rep: Dodging his mandatory military service by having teeth removed,
T-Ara – “Cry Cry” (2011) Black Eyes
Bad Rep: Mean girls who like to bully
B2ST – “Shadow” (2013) Hard to Love, How to Love
Bad Rep: Junhyung has the rather unfortunate image as a ‘G-Dragon Wannabe’
Block B – “NalinA” (2012) Welcome to the Block
Bad Rep: Got the nickname ‘murder idols’ after their agency’s former CEO committed suicide
Jay Park – “Demon” (2011) Demon [digital single]
Bad Rep: Anti-Korean MySpace posts from his training days at JYP
Seungri – “V.V.I.P” (2011) V.V.I.P
Bad Rep: Japanese sex scandal got him labeled as a ‘sex-crazed idol’
Roy Kim – “Bom Bom Bom” (2013) Bom Bom Bom [single]
Bad Rep: Accusations that he plagiarized the song from Acoustic Rain’s “Love is Canon”

Even if these artists have scandalous pasts, controversies, or a bad public image – their music is still fun to listen to!
